The homelab
Two retired PCs, reborn as a private cloud that never sleeps. It's online 24/7 and reachable from anywhere — so I can experiment, deploy and ship from wherever I am. Even from my phone.
The problem
Cloud GPUs get expensive fast, and work shouldn't depend on which desk you're sitting at. I wanted infrastructure I fully understand, fully control, and can reach from anywhere.
What I built
Rebuilt two old PCs into Linux servers running Docker, linked into a private network over Tailscale so they're reachable from anywhere — and from nowhere else. They host my models, agents and services around the clock. From my laptop or straight from my phone, I can SSH in, spin up an experiment, deploy a service or check on a running job.
Where it stands
Always on, always reachable. My workstation now fits in my pocket — give me a phone and a signal, and the work gets done.
